Howl Of The Day: No16

For those of you who don’t know who The West Street Gables are they are the alter-ego and solo project of CROWS front man James Cox. Now CROWS may be a mash of punk, surf and garage rock that tear and snarl and your ear drums but The West Street Gables is far removed from the world of garage rock. Possessing a softer edge, today’s Howl see’s James show a folkier and calmer infused sound. ‘Hide’ is taken from The West Street Gables debut E.P and is perhaps the softest and delicate song you are likely to hear from the Crows front man, but don’t be deceived by its calm serenity, ‘Hide’ is not a song for the weak, ripping and tugging on your heartstrings.
